Before you book

Do I need any experience?

None at all, and no licence either. Plenty of people who shoot with us have never held a gun before, and your instructor stays with you on every weapon.

Is it safe?

Everyone gets a safety briefing before touching a gun. Guns are only handled on the firing line, with an instructor beside you, and ear and eye protection stay on the whole time.

If you're pregnant, or have a heart condition, epilepsy or anything else shooting could make worse, tell us before you book.

What do I need to bring?

Your ID card, the card itself and not a photo of it, because everyone shooting must be 18 or over. We provide ear and eye protection, targets and every round.

Can I come on my own, or just the two of us?

Yes. A slot runs once 3 people are booked on it, so pick one that's already running and you'll shoot alongside another group.

On the day

What happens when we get there?

Your instructor starts with a safety briefing: the rules, the kit and how each gun works. Ear and eye protection go on, then you have two hours on the firing line, with the instructor at your shoulder on every gun.

What's included in the price?

Every round listed for your session, the targets, ear and eye protection, and coffee, water and snacks between rounds. Your shot-up target is yours to take home. A hotel transfer is extra, and you add it when you book.

What should I wear?

Something comfortable, and closed shoes. Spent cases come out of the guns hot, so pick a top with a high neckline.

Can I have a drink beforehand?

No. Anyone who seems to be under the influence is asked to leave, no exceptions. Shoot first, celebrate after.

Can friends come along to watch?

Yes, if the instructor agrees on the day. Anyone watching follows the same safety rules as the people shooting.

Getting there and paying

How do we get there from Bansko?

Add a return transfer when you book and we'll collect you from your hotel:

  • Bansko 56 km · about 1 h each way €20/ person
  • Sofia 101 km · about 1 h 15 min each way €20/ person
How do I pay?

By card when you book online, in euros, per person. Your confirmation and invoice arrive by email.

What if our plans change?

You can move your booking to another date for free up to 10 days before it. Closer to the day it can't be changed or refunded, but you can pass it to someone else who is 18 or over with an ID card.

If we have to cancel, for bad weather or anything else, you choose a new date or a full refund. The details are in our refund policy.

Courses

One-day and two-day courses, each ending with a certificate.

See the courses

Choosing a course

Which course should I start with?

If you're new to shooting, one of the basic courses, with a pistol or a rifle. They give you a solid foundation that the advanced courses build on.

For IPSC, the practical shooting sport, start with the MISIA course.

Do I need a gun licence?

Only for the defensive pistol course, which is for licensed handgun owners. The pistol, rifle and IPSC courses need none: we provide the service weapon and the rounds, on a licensed range.

Do I get a certificate?

Yes, every course ends with one. The MISIA course gives you an internationally recognised certificate, and the others a shooting.bg certificate.

Dates and places

When are the courses held?

On the dates we announce. Each course lists its next date, and its booking calendar offers only those dates. If a course has no date yet, send us a message.

Can I book a friend on as well?

Yes. A course booking is for one person, so make one for each of you, on the same date.

What's included in the price?

Each course's description lists it. On most that's the range fees, the service weapon, the rounds and lunch. There's nothing more to pay on the day.
